Once we learned more about CoolSculpting and how it worked, we were obsessed. This treatment can help remove stubborn fat from targeted areas with no downtime and no surgery. Keep reading to learn more about CoolSculpting.
What is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is one of the most popular non-invasive fat-reduction procedures that has real results to back up its worldwide popularity. This quick treatment helps freeze away unwanted fat with no surgery and no downtime. Imagine walking out of the office, knowing your results are developing behind the scenes.
How does it work?
The CoolSculpting treatment begins with a targeted cooling machine that targets and cools the area you want to lose fat in. We control the cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin in the area you want.
Can I multitask during treatment?
We encourage it! This procedure requires no surgery or sedation, so you’re free to do as you please (almost). You will need to hold still while the machine works its magic. Many of our patients like to check their email, browse the internet, or just sneak in a little nap during the half-hour long sessions.
How cool is CoolSculpting?
As the name suggests, the CoolSculpting procedure can feel a little chilly. Controlled cooling is delivered via an applicator to freeze the targeted fat. Though you may feel cold initially, this feeling usually subsides within a few minutes as the area numbs. Because the applicators utilize a vacuum to draw your desired fatty tissue into the applicator cup, you may also feel some pulling, tugging, and/or mild pinching. As your skin numbs, that feeling will go away.
Where does the fat go?
Treated fat cells are frozen and then they die. Over time, your body naturally processes the dead fat cells and eliminates them through your lymphatic system along with other waste. Your results will keep progressing as more of the dead cells are removed, and your best results are usually seen between one to three months after your treatment.
