Gravity is not our friend when it comes to beauty. Sure, it helps keep us on the planet, and is part of our everyday lives. But why does gravity have to pull so hard when it comes to the skin on our faces? If you’re ready to turn back the clock, keep reading to learn more about our facelift procedure.
Who is a good candidate for a facelift?
As we age, certain things start to happen. Wrinkles become more permanent and deeply etched into the face. We also develop more sagging in the skin, and you might find that you have little jowls where they didn’t exist before. Facelift surgery can help reverse some of the signs of aging with more long-lasting results than treatments like fillers or Botox. Though everyone keeps aging, a facelift can help you look younger, and you will likely look younger even years later than if you’d never had a facelift before.
If you are bothered by sagging skin or deep wrinkles, then a facelift might be a good option for you.
How long until I can go back to work?
Generally, you will want to give yourself plenty of time to recover. Two weeks is usually optimal for patients, though some may feel good enough to return to work sooner.
When can I start exercising again?
We recommend that you avoid exercise for around three weeks or so after your procedure. Dr. Petropoulos will discuss with you when you are ready to resume exercise.
Will I have scarring?
There are always scars when the skin is damaged, but Dr. Petropoulos is expertly skilled in minimizing and hiding the scars from a facelift procedure. Generally, the scars are so small that they fade into something that blends right into the skin and may resemble a natural little crease.
How much will it cost?
The cost of a facelift may vary depending on what you are looking for. Please get in touch with our office to discuss your needs.
