Fall Into Fall With this Skin Care Routine
- Posted on: Oct 17 2018
With fall just around the corner, people are switching out their sandals for boots and their shorts for the latest denim trends. Although it’s important to make sure your wardrobe is equipped for the cooler temperatures, it’s also important to ensure that you are switching up your skincare routine as well. To make sure that your skin doesn’t dry out too much as the temperatures drop, consider falling into fall with this routine. Read on to learn more.
Enhance Your Moisturizer
You may have been able to get away with wearing a light daily or tinted moisturizer during the summer, but now that the temperatures are dropping, it’s important that you start wearing a thicker moisturizing cream. Look for one that has ingredients like glycerin and ceramides which help your skin lock in and retain water.
Don’t Forget the Sunscreen
Just because you may not be spending your days laying out by the pool, that doesn’t mean you should skip out on the sunscreen. In fact, if there’s one thing to know about UV rays it’s that they don’t discriminate against warm or cold weather. Try using either a daily moisturizer with a sunscreen built into it or grab a thin sunscreen you can put under your makeup.
Use a Tri-Weekly Face Scrub
As your skin adjusts to the colder temperatures, you may notice some dry patches on your face. To help combat any dryness and regulate the oil on your skin, try using a facial scrub three times a week. By scrubbing off excess dead skin from your face, you can get a smoother complexion in no time.
As your skin is transitioning from summer to fall, make sure that you are transitioning your skin care routine as well. If you would like to learn more about how you can take better care of your skin or schedule an appointment with our staff, call 978-739-9500 or contact Dr. Anna Petropoulos today!
